There are scholarships for every major and interest, from dance to engineering, theatre to writing.

As you've already found out, there are many scholarships available for students interested in studying specific majors. Scholarships can also be based on your interests and talents, such as dance or engineering.

The following is a list of some of our most popular scholarship programs:

  • Dance: The American Intercontinental University Theatre Arts Scholarship Program offers scholarships to students who have demonstrated a strong background in theater arts. We also offer a Dance Performing Arts Scholarship Program that provides financial assistance for students wanting to pursue careers as professional dancers and choreographers.

  • Engineering: Our Engineering Scholarship Award Program helps provide tuition assistance for those pursuing degrees or certificates in the field of engineering technology or computer science technology at AIU's campus locations across the country (all 50 states). In addition, we offer an additional $1,000 annual scholarship award through this program if you plan on participating in study abroad opportunities while enrolled at AIU; this includes one-year international exchange programs where you'll earn course credit towards your degree completion requirements!

You don't have to pay the full tuition for a full-time student at "The Academic City."

To be eligible for a scholarship from American Intercontinental University you must:

  • Be pursuing or have earned your degree in an undergraduate or graduate program.

  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale (C+ average), if you’re pursuing your undergraduate degree and 3.0 on a 4-point scale (B+ average), if you’re pursuing your graduate degree.

If you are not working towards your bachelor's or master's degree, but need tuition assistance because of financial hardship, please apply to our Grants and Scholarships Program by clicking here.*

If you're attending American Intercontinental University, two-thirds of your tuition is covered by your scholarship.

You're eligible for a scholarship if you have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are enrolled in an associate’s degree program, bachelor's degree program, or graduate certificate program.

You must apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.

If you are selected by American Intercontinental University to receive a scholarship, two-thirds of your tuition will be covered by your scholarship award amount listed on your acceptance letter.

The last one-third is yours to pay as you go, based on your own plan.

You are in charge of your education and finances. You can pay in installments, a lump sum or with a credit card. If you need to borrow money to make payment, there are many options available to you: loans from banks or other lenders; scholarships that don't have to be paid back; grants that don't have to be repaid; gifts from family members who want you to succeed in life; etc.

The grants you get today will be there tomorrow.

As a full-time student with an ACE transcript, you will receive a scholarship or grant in the form of a monthly stipend. The stipend is awarded at the beginning of each semester and can be used to pay for housing, tuition, books and other expenses related to your studies. It cannot be used to pay off any loans you may have acquired through ACE or any other institution (and it will not affect your eligibility for federal financial aid).

The amount of money awarded depends on several factors: whether you are in your first year or later years of study; the degree program(s) that you are pursuing; and whether your school has established additional criteria for awarding scholarships based on factors such as major area course work completed.
